As Owner & CEO, Joy Mitchell has lead OC from its beginnings in 2001 to one of the top 5 office furniture dealerships in the Atlanta market. OC is headquartered in West Midtown Atlanta and has expanded to two new Design Districts, with another location coming soon, offering comprehensive asset management and storage solutions. Under Joy’s vision, OC acquired the historied Ivan Allen in 2016 becoming the premiere Allsteel dealer in Georgia. OC provides curated workplace solutions for corporate, healthcare, higher education and government environments. In 2020, OC expanded its offerings through its Architectural Solutions Division that specializes in the “built interiors through architectural walls shades, and sound masking.

With nearly 21 years of contract furniture experience, she and her team have completed numerous local and national projects with her signature ‘client first’, ‘it’s more than furniture’ mindset.

Joy attended the University of Alabama, obtaining a degree in Business. While leading OC and being a mother of five, Joy reached her goal of completing her EMBA from the University of Georgia. With this same drive and determination, she is deeply committed to growing the next generation of leaders within OC and the industry. Having been born and raised in Gwinnett County, Joy is committed to investing in the people and businesses of Metro Atlanta and Georgia.

Joy currently serves on the Executive Committee for The Gwinnett County Chamber Board of Directors and The Metro Atlanta Chamber Board. Along with serving on multiple local boards, Joy serves on the Solomon Coyle Industry advisory board. Her heart for service has led her to give and serve the community through organizations like Promise686, CHOA, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and many others. Joy takes tremendous pride in the success of others and this focus can be felt throughout the organization. Her heart for her team, the client, and her family is the cornerstone of everything she does.
